Summer Travel Kit
How to keep comfy in transit
It’s finally happening: You’ve booked your tickets to a fabulous summer vacation and only have to manage the 13+ hours getting there on a multi stop flight? Or you’re doing it bohemian style and have rented an old VW bus and are riding all the way to your glamping destination? Whichever the case – you’ll be happy if you wear and bring a couple of items that’ll keep you comfy while travelling. I’ve compiled a list of six I recommend you take along.
1. The snug sweater
Any frequent traveller knows you need to wear layers when going on a trip so you can pile up and down depending on the air conditioning strength or lack thereof. Unfortunately taking your bigges and softest jersey sweater along won’t do the trick. Jersy makes for great warmth but it doesn’t exactly help when things get hot and sticky. Which is why I recommend you invest in this black Stella McCartney sweater that’s made of wool and silk. It’ll warm you when it’s cold but keep you cool when it gets saunaish.
2. The linen T-Shirt
With this Acne Studios Nairobi linen t-shirt the deal is similar. It manages to keep you wram and cold depending on what’s needed. And the grey melange color is forgiving when it comes to smearing butter on it or getting cookie crumbs all over it.
3. The Baserange Bra
Ever been on a long trip with an underwire bra on? It’ll feel supernice in the first ten hours of the journey and afterwards, when you’ve started to try and make your economy seat into a bed by making yourself into a tiny little human ball, it’ll start to feel like a corset straight back from the Victorian age. Opt for this Baserange bra for maximum supprt and gigantic comfort. There’s no better one than this.
4. The This Works Travel Set
Actually this one I can’t do without because I’m super sensitive to scents. Even if I’m sometimes lucky to travel business I still find other peoples smell too much at times. Whether it’s the guy next to me taking of his shoes who reveals some athlete foot or the lady in front of me whos perfume I distinctly dislike. With the This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray I’ll not only calm my nerves ( thanks to its Lavender scent) and get ready for those precious minutes of inflight sleep but also close out any wiff of the people around me. The In Transit Moisturizer works as a primer at the same time and will have you looking fresh when it’s time to put up your seats. And you’ll have dewy lips thanks to the heavenly lip balm as well.
5. The Illesteva Sunglasses
If you’re riding a car to your final destination you’ll love this pair of Illesteva handmade sunglasses for the warm filter it adds on the world. That’ll make you feel like you’re on a vacation even if you leave the rainest town ever. And after getting off a plane this will let you hide your tired eyes so you won’t have to squint at the world and baggage pick-up at all.
6. The Holiday Knickers
I don’t recommend theses so that you’ll keep track on wether it’s monday or thursday on your vaccation. Lose your sense of date and time as soon as you can, it’s what’s great about taking time off anyways. Nah, I just love the little icecream cones and palm trees on these Stella McCartney holiday knickers that say: ‘I’m not at work and I’m having fun” alnost first thing in the morning.
