The beauty of summer dresses
What I love the most about summer is the change of clothes. I am not a big fan of jumpers, boots and jackets…so when the nice weather starts knocking the door I literally get over excited. I love dresses, summer dresses in particular. Anaak is the latest sustainable fashion label I came across and I have to say that I literally felt for her dresses. The founder, Marissa Maximo, is based in Philadelphia but spends half of the year working with artisans in India and Bolivia. Her dresses represent the perfect bohemian style – no flowers in this case, but simpler cuts and vibes. Elegant, beautifully made, they are easy to wear, and sustainable, too—from organic fabrics to the women artisan groups Marissa Maximo employs around the world. Everything is made by hand with natural dyes.
The collection involves timeless designs for women who respect the environment and prefer classic elegance – this is Marissa’s goal when designing her dresses. What I like the most about them is their natural ease and innate sensuality designed with faraway beaches in mind and it gives me the feeling of summer breeze! They are clothes without borders or limits, the embodiment of lifestyle pieces that every woman should have in her closet. Designed to be at home, on the city streets or along the ocean coast, they are the perfect match for any getaway. As I see this dress perfect for every occasion, I like to be quite casual when it comes to getting ready in the morning! I am a big fan of comfortability so not high heels for me – I prefer to run around in my sneakers or sandals – which make a nice mix with the Anaak dress. On the other hand, I like jewelry, so a nice pair of hearings make the total outfit perfect for a day meeting and a late aperitivo!
