Fall trend – winter coats
How to stay warm in style!
It looks like to cold season has official started. Last week I was in Italy, waking up with a clear sky everyday and 20 degrees. Now I am in Berlin, where it’s getting colder and colder. I wouldn’t have imagined that when I was enjoying the sun last week today I would be bringing outside all my winter coats. I love coats, and I have developed a quite consistent collection so far. This is why I like to always be up to date with the latest trends – and why not share them with you?!
1 – The 70’s trend
Velvet, plaid pattern or wide neck. Think: Mustard yellows with burnt siennas, often with an earthy green or camel peppered in—sometimes all three! This season designers couldn’t get enough of the throwback palette. Bottega Veneta, Prada, Stella McCartney have focused on at least half a dozen shades of orange and ’70s-inspired prints. All presented in irresistible updated, modern silhouettes. The big buttons and colored fur details around the wrists and the bottom are a signature of this style!
2 – Pink
From Valentino to Gucci, this season the pastel colors are a must. We have already seen exuberant shades of pink in previous collections, however this winter is more about neutral and blurred shades. Sure, it’s more of a summer color but there is no better way to lighten your mood and outfit during Winter cold months by adding a delicate hue.If you associate pale pink to your childhood tutu skirt, this season it’s all about new textures. Designers have used this color for thick coats and knitted cardigans to be contrasted with leather straps and thick tights!
3 – Neutral colors
Neutral colors are always a classic that never dies – you can’t go wrong with them and they are extremely versatile! Camel, black or navy they will never be outdated and this season camel is quite strong and as chic as usual. Black and navy are at the same time a timeless passe-partout for every occasion.
