How to – wear the white shirt

The classic that never dies

We all know how important white shirts are – a real wardrobe essential. The simple white shirt is, without a doubt, one of the easiest and most on-trend looks to style all year round, with the versatility to take you from morning meetings to late night drinks and the comfort of a loose-fitted waist and rolled-up cuffs. However, to call it “basic” can be an underestimation of the numerous ways it can be reimagined. During the last years white shirts have had a proper come back and have hit the shows in multiple versions – sleeve-wrapped, strapless dresses, deconstructed minis, oversized… Of course there always is the more traditional version and simpler route. This classic is anything but boring. Add a neck scarf, pair it with impressive accessories, tuck into high-waisted jeans. You can style it under a tank dress or sweatpants. Somehow, the end result always looks perfectly polished. Everybody should definitely own a lot of them. If you are still looking for the one, here a selection of my favorite of the moment.

I am in love with white shirts and I have collected quite a lot throughout the years. Not only white, but also with light stripes or slightly colored. Among the several cuts and trends, the boyfriend oversized shirt is my favorite. It is easy to wear, you can match it with a skinny denim or a high waist flared one. My uniform at the moment? Oversized shirt, straight denim and sneakers or ballerinas depending on the occasion!
